It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! I love being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0057 is National Nurses Day (May 6th). The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d love to help you!
I used red, blue and green from the Inspo List. I wish I had a Nurse stamp. I have two dear friends whose daughters are working hard on the front lines in Cedar Rapids, and another dear friend’s son-in-law is a doctor in the emergency room in Iowa City. Steve and I have been praying for them daily for safety during this pandemic.
Here’s a free PDF with supplies and directions to make these Post-it Note Holders. Please note that this fits a 1/2 pad that is no thicker than 1/4″.

Sometimes you need a little help from your friends! I challenged my Stamping Mom Joy Team members to create a Spring related 3″ x 3″ square with no words, using current Stampin’ Up products and any of the following Stampin’ Up Brights Collection colors: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Gorgeous Grape. We did this as a swap and 11 people participated. I thought I would add “Spring” to the sampler when I put it together, but I loved all the squares so much that I included 9 squares on each Sampler. All 11 Squares were used between these two Samplers.
I added layers to the some of the squares and a 3-1/4 layer to all of the squares. Each person’s Sampler turned out differently, but all were beautiful!
The frames are from Michael’s and they are 12″ x 12″ Shadow Box frames. This allows you to use lots of dimension on your squares. The 12″ x 12″ white background came from the backing piece of the Designer Series Paper packs. Don’t throw these away. Save them and use them for projects like this. Who knew this beautiful project was partially made with recycled product?! 🙂 You can have one frame for your samplers and keep switching out the pictures with each holiday or season.
This was our favorite team meeting ever (the meeting was March 6 before all this began) and I think the Joy Team wants to keep doing 3″ x 3″ Sampler squares for the different seasons and holidays. I hope you now want to be part of my Stamping Mom’s Joy Team, you can join here. You can choose $125 of products for $99 and free shipping! I have Joy Team members in three states and our team is growing! 🙂 Please email me and we’ll chat about it.
We also made cards with whatever two squares we had left. Here’s a couple of the cards I made that started as 3″ x 3″ Sampler squares.
As you can see whether part of the Sampler or as individual cards, they all turned out amazing!

I’ve been praying for everyone as we deal with this pandemic. How are you doing? I’ve been staying home and trying to use my time wisely. I told you about the computer our older boys built for Steve. Last weekend Steve, Sean and Ryan tore down our rotten back fence and built a new one.
Here’s Sean, our oldest son, who is a software engineer at Microsoft in Seattle. Here’s been here working from our house since March 6. He came home to go on a Spring Break ski trip with us to Colorado, that never happened. He’s been working in Seattle for about five years, so it’s a huge blessing to spend so much time with him. He plans to stay here until it’s over.
How many engineers does it take to build a fence? Apparently two, because our boys are both engineers, but Steve is the only one who’s built a fence before. Ryan is a software engineer for Shazam in Johnston. The boys were both sore the next day and decided they really like their desk jobs. 🙂 They are both very happy to still have their jobs and be working from home. What a blessing to have them around to help. I’ve been busy getting the gardens ready for Spring. I’ve tilled the gardens and added new top soil. I’ve been weeding all the other areas, getting ready to put down new mulch. I love working outside in the sunshine and dirt! I’ve also been leading my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) discussion group meetings via Zoom and doing Zoom meetings with the Joy Stampers. Would you believe a week ago I had never done Zoom before? It’s a whole new world. Please leave a comment and tell me what you’ve been doing and how you’re doing.

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to one lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I joined Stampin’ Up in 2003 and participated in my first Pal’s Blog Hop in September 2014 and have been in the Hop every month since, except for one. It’s ironic that I made a 3-D project with candy included for that first hop and it’s still one of my favorite things to make. The two pictures below are from my first Pal’s Blog Hop. I hope my photography has improved in the six years 🙂
The critters in this set are darling and aren’t just for Easter cards. They are also perfect for baby cards or other types of fun cards!
My critters are sitting and sticking their feet out of the grass. Are you wondering where I found the grass?
I used the Friendly Silhouettes dies and cut the cat tails off and trimmed the grass.
I made this box with the same stamp set and it fits a Regular size Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg. Here’s a free PDF with supplies and directions to make this box.
This box is for the King size, which my kids would tell you is twice as good because it contains two eggs! Here’s a free PDF with supplies and directions to make this King Size Box You can click on the pictures at the bottom of this post to order the supplies from my store.
On Friday I’ll announce who won my Mystery Blog Candy. Just leave me a comment to enter to win!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 8th, for our “Special Occasions” blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects for weddings, graduation, anniversary, baby, Mother’s/Father’s Day or any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun!
