I truly enjoy all the seasons, but today my favorite season is Christmas! My husband, Steve, loves making fudge and I love making boxes to give the fudge as gifts. Here’s our first fudge box of the season.
You can see a template and how to make this box on this video of a FB Live. Please start watching at 5 minutes 30 seconds for the box directions. The cardstock is 7-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ Score long side at 1-1/2, 4-3/4, 6-1/4, and and 9-1/2″ Score short side at 1/2, 2, 5-1/4, and 6-3/4″. You need 4 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1-1/4 x 3″ for the sides. The top DSP is 3″ x 3″. The flap DSP is 3/4″ x 3″. Email me if you have questions at Beth@StampingMom.com

It’s so hard to pick a favorite season because I’m a fan of all the seasons in Iowa, except the cold and icy one which shall remain nameless. I love hosting my extended family for Thanksgiving and always send them a special invitation, so Fall/Thanksgiving is certainly one of my favorite seasons.
Here is this year’s invitation. I went for a classic, formal invitation using the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle and the Seasonal Swirls dies. The pumpkin is heat embossed in copper with a copper foil circle behind it. The sentiment is also heat embossed in copper. A Tasteful Labels die was used to trim the sentiment. I really like the texture of the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder.
After I was done making this year’s invitation, I went back to see what I sent last year. I think by November of 2020 I was done with anything dark or sad because of COVID, so I made the invitation in bright & happy Stamping Mom colors. I also thought it was ironic that both cards said, “Gather Together.” I guess that’s one of the reasons Thanksgiving is one of my favorite seasons is because I love my family and love gathering them together!
I went back one more year to find the 2019 invitation and it says, “give Thanks.” I love making homemade pies especially apple, pecan and coconut cream, so I wasn’t too surprised I had a “turkey with a pie” invitation.
I also make treats for everyone who comes to Thanksgiving at our home. Here’s a collection of past Thanksgiving treats and invitations. I want my guests to feel special and I hope by sending them a handmade invitation and sending them home with handmade treats they feel extra loved and appreciated!
I would love to hear stories about some of your family traditions. Please leave a comment and share them with me.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 8th. Our theme will be “Focus on the Sentiment” when our Design Team creates a project showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Wonderful Cards/Projects from the Garden” where our design team showcase projects from things found in a garden, such as flowers, vegetables, fruits, or even a garden scene. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Once you finish here, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I love flowers! I have fresh flowers on my counter often. I am a gardener and grow annuals, perennials, berries and vegetables. My favorite stamp sets to buy are the flower sets. I’ve been using the All Squared Away Bundle a lot lately because I love these flowers.
This card is fun to decorate inside and out. Here’s what you need to make this easy gift card holder:
Magenta Madness Cardstock (CS) 4-1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 2-1/2″ and 5-1/2″, 3″ x 3″ square, scrap for die cut flowers
Basic Black CS 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″, 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ for die cut
Basic White CS 2-3/4″ x 4″ for sentiment, 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″,
Designer Series Paper (DSP) 2-3/4″ x 4″, (2) 2-1/4″ x 4″
Here’s a FB Live video showing how to make this card.
Here’s another card I made with the All Squared Away Bundle. If you like flowers too, I hope you’ll consider getting the All Squared Away Bundle.
