You may know I’ve been riding my bike all summer getting ready for RAGBRAI, which is an annual week long bike ride across the state of Iowa. Steve, his brothers and I usually ride two days. This year I had a sponsor, the Iowa Soybean Association. They gave me my bike jersey and bike shorts. Don’t be too impressed, I’m actually friends with the marketing director and she said I could get a high quality jersey and shorts if I wore it on RAGBRAI and posted it on social media. 🙂
Here’s Steve with his brothers at the after party. Did you notice Steve’s bandages? He crashed on his bike during the Okoboji Triathalon last Saturday after a patch of gravel flipped him on his side. He ended up in the emergency room with nine stitches in his arm, a broken finger and “road rash” everywhere. He took five days off his bike and then rode 72 miles today on RAGBRAI. He’s one tough guy, but I hope he slows down a little. 🙂
Which set of ink pads do you want to get for free? Yep, I said free! Email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’ll tell you all about it.:) The last chance to get 10 free ink pads is next Tuesday, July 31. Don’t miss out! This is open to anyone in the United States. My Stamping Joy Team has a lot of fun together and we would love to have you join us!
Blessings,
Beth 🙂

Hi Bette,
Thanks so much for the sweet comment. I love to make clean and simple cards.
Did your son and family do RAGBRAI this year? It was perfect weather and we had so much fun. You’re correct people come from all over the world to do RAGBRAI. Steve is recovering well from his accident. He ran Bix today, the 7 mile running race in Davenport. Davenport is also where RAGBRAI ended today.
Blessings,
Beth 🙂
Thanks so much Jeanie! I hope we get to connect in Orlando in November.
Blessings,
Beth 🙂
Hi
Thanks so much Joy!
You are correct…RAGBRAI stands for Register’s (as in the Des Moines Register newspaper)Annul Bike Ride Across Iowa.
Steve didn’t get enough competition this week, so he did the 7 mile Bix road race today and got his personal best time.
Wow, can’t believe Morgan invited his hospital visitors to breakfast. 🙂 They are two of a kind!
Thanks for the sweet note.
Blessings, Beth 🙂
That is an AWESOME card, Beth!!!
Wow, riding for a couple of days in an abbreviation that I can’t figure out-how cool is that!!! Well, I got the I at the end, has to be Iowa, I hope. :)))
Well, let’s see if I can do better..I was thinking it’s something about RAG Bike Ride Across Iowa…I hope. :)))
Probably should stop now. :)))
Your poor hubby!!! That is a man’s man. Sounds like Morgan. After his hernia surgery, everyone who was at the hospital, he invited them all to IHOP for breakfast! :)))
God bless you, Beth, and Steve!!! :)))
His,
joy
WOW Beth! I agree with Chris, impressive on both counts! Way to go!
I love your card. Clean and somewhat simple. Glad to hear you did the RAGBRA. Our son and his family have done it for years. Quite an event and so many from out of state and even other countries participate. Good for you! Sorry to hear of hubby’s accident. Unfortunately, that does happen.
Wow, not sure what I am more impressed with – your card or riding in RAGBRAI!!! Your card is stunning and would be a very special card for such a sad occasion. One card the recipient would cherish.
The ride, oh that is so great. I am so impressed with you. Your poor husband! Are you going to dip your bike in the mighty Mississippi? I never really had a bike so have no idea if I could even ride one let alone wearing your cute little outfit. One more day after today, you go girl!!!
