2015 Thanksgiving Dinner Invitation

2015badge-2

Welcome to the Pals November Blog Hop, we’re so thankful you stopped by.  This month we’re showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving and “Thank You” products.  We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or you may have come from the previous blog on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you can enjoy each and every beautiful project.

Thanksgivinginvite

I love hosting Thanksgiving!  It’s fun to come up with a unique invitation that will make my guests smile when they retrieve it from their mailbox.  This is my 2015 Thanksgiving invite, so hopefully none of my guests subscribe to my blog. 🙂 That would certainly ruin the surprise since I haven’t mailed them yet.  Actually, I haven’t finished making them yet.  To be totally honest, this is the first one, but I plan to make the rest tomorrow!  Here’s my 2013 and 2014 Thanksgiving Invitations.

Thanksgivinginvite-2

For the inside, I used last year’s Holiday Invitation set and the current Lighthearted Leaves.

I was so excited about this card, I ran around and showed everyone that was at home tonight.  Superman really liked it.  I got back to my stamping office and noticed a smudge on the front of the card.  Kind of a bummer since the blog hop is scheduled to go live in a few hours.  I  decided to do what most stampers do when a card gets smudged.  I covered the front of the card with more “smudges” from Gorgeous Grunge.

Thanksgivinginvite-3

What do you think?  I almost like the smudged card better.  I love hearing from you.  Please leave me a comment or question.

Please subscribe to my blog and soon you’ll get to see the homemade boxes of fudge that will serve as place cards on my Thanksgiving table.

Blessings,

Beth 🙂

Welcome to our Blog Hop!

This time we are focusing on all things Thanksgiving! Get ready for some great ideas, inspiration, tips, resources and how-to as you move along through the blog hop.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Cristi Wuenschel at The Keeper of the Memories on our Living with Style Blog Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you make sure to see and learn from all of the articles featured here today.

I love hosting Thanksgiving at my house each year!  The first thing I do is send out homemade invitations.  Here’s the invitations I sent the last two years.

The second card is much prettier without the X’s, but since I already have around 25 people coming to Thanksgiving, I didn’t really want to invite anyone else!  🙂

I also like to make a set of place cards for the adult table and a different set for the kids table.  At our house the oldest 12 people are at the adult table and everyone else is a kid, or kid at heart.  Sorry Sean…there are so many people coming this year, you may get demoted.

The adult place cards all had leaves, but you can see each place card was a little different.

The kids all had turkeys, but again each turkey was unique.  I love the googly eyes on the turkeys.

Last year I decided to make place card/treat combos.  The adults got my husband’s delicious homemade fudge.  At the State Fair Steve always wins second place in every fudge category he enters, so I tease him he’s the Second Best Fudge Maker in Iowa.  Even second best is honestly quite a feat in Iowa!

Last year the Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin (Monthy subscription craft box) included these pie shaped boxes.  We poured Steve’s fudge into pie pans and everyone got a pie shaped slice of fudge to take home.

The kids got these Curvy Keepsake Box turkeys filled with Reese Peanut Butter cups.  I think most of the turkeys went home empty, but they loved having their names on the turkeys.

I also enjoy making little treats at Thanksgiving for my kid’s teachers and friends.  Here’s a box that fits a full size Snickers or Milky Way.

Another box I’m giving away this year, is made with the Square Pillow Box Thinlit Die.

Superman turns 52 today!

StampinUp Birthday card designed by demo Beth McCullough. Please see more card and gift ideas at www.StampingMom.com #StampingMom

Well not that Superman, but my Superman is 52 today!  Happy Birthday Steve!  The kids and I love you so much! I was blessed to meet my husband at age 12, so I’ve known him for 40 years.  He is an awesome husband and father. A year ago, Steve started a healthy eating and working out program.  He’s lost around 50 lbs, completed three triathlons and is quite burly.  Hence his new nickname, Superman.  He’s competing in a year long challenge at Farrell’s and also doing the Isagenix’s Isabody Challenge.  I’ll show you his official before and after photos in a few weeks, but you’ll see the change in these pictures.

He looks the best he’s ever looked in the entire 40 years!  I’m so proud of you honey and hope you have a wonderful birthday!

I used Stampin’ Up’s Happy Birthday, Everyone set to make this card.  It is one of the Host sets you can get with a $150 order.  Please click on the pictures below to order the products you need to make this card.

I love hearing from you, so please leave me a comment, question or to wish Steve a Happy Birthday!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
