I made fifteen gift card holders for Abby and Keegan to give for teacher gifts.  The kids are in high school and I feel bad that high school teachers almost never get gifts from their students.

I love that the gift card “pops up” when you open it.

These are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.

My next color combination is Real Red and Smoky Slate.

I embossed “Merry Christmas” inside and the kids signed their name.

After making eight I was running out of time, so the last seven are the Santa’s Belt Gift Card Holders.  They are the easiest I’ve made.

Today is Christmas Eve.  I’m off to make the apple pie! I can’t wait for our special Christmas Eve Service at church!

Here’s the cute treats Abby took to school to share with some of her friends.  Notice they say, “Time to chill” instead of Merry Christmas.  Abby and her friends are juniors in high school and are so excited for winter break to get a “break” from their hard classes so she thought “Time to chill” would be appropriate.

I wish I had come up with this idea, but it is a total CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) which is very common in crafting circles.

I used Wilton Pretzel Bags and cut off 2 inches.

Family update- My husband and two older boys raced from Seattle, WA to Iowa in 33 hours through horrible weather.  I was so happy when they arrived home at 6:30am today.  The boys learned how to put chains on the car tires, how to navigate icy mountain roads and how to survive with three of them together in a very small space.  All life lessons that will serve them well.
