Welcome to the Pals November 2017 Blog Hop featuring some “Anything But a Card”. Thank you so much for joining us today. Sit back and enjoy the view while the Stampin’ Pretty Pals wow you with projects like home decor items, gifts and 3-D items. Maybe even some card sets .
Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
If you know me, you know I love to make Hershey Nugget boxes to give as little gifts. Of all the boxes I’ve ever made, this one is my favorite! The Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) is stunning! I made this box for the Creative Crew on Splitcoast Stampers (CCREW1117TECH) and the Pal’s Blog Hop.
Paper: Year of Cheer Specialty DSP, Copper Foil Sheets
Accessories: Starlight Thinlits, Mini Sequin Trim, Silver 1/8″ Ribbon
Techniques: Nugget Box Tutorial by Lori Craig in the SCS Tutorials Section https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/nugget_boxes/
Tip- Use your bone folder on the backside of the Copper Foil Sheet to make it easier to wrap around the Hershey Nugget.
The graphic above shows some of the Nugget Boxes I’ve made in the past. Here’s the link to the directions for my 3 Nugget Box and 5 Nugget Box.

Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on December 13, 2017. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We really like that.
Nobody loves hot chocolate more than my sweet Abby. When I saw this Hug in a Mug stamp set in the Holiday catalog, I knew I needed to get it and make some Abby cards. This is my clean and simple version for Splitcoast Creative Crew.
Isn’t this a darling stamp set?!
For this stepped up version, I heat embossed the sentiment with Clear embossing powder. Did you know you can heat emboss in any color? With your stamp, first put it on your Versamark pad and then into your ink color of choice. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder, and heat emboss. I love being able to heat emboss in all colors. Make sure you use the Embossing Buddy so you don’t get stray marks embossed on your project. Let me know if you have any questions.
I also added a Bermuda Bay stripe ( because it’s my favorite color), popped up the red hearts on dimensionals and used Embossing Paste for the whipped cream on top of the hot chocolate. I was pretty excited to have an original thought (the embossing paste whipped cream) that wasn’t CASED from anyone. 🙂
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso, VersaMark
Accessories: Embossing Paste
Techniques: heat embossing

Keegan had a Heartland Youth Choir (HYC) concert this afternoon and they ended the concert with May the Lord Bless You and Keep You. It’s my favorite HYC song but it always make me cry.
Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for October 2017. This month our theme is Give Thanks! You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Stamping Mom or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
We host a Thanksgiving celebration at our home every year and I like to send out invitations.
The large leaves on the side panels and the “Give Thanks” are heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
The small leaves are made with glossy cardstock sponged with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler ink and cut with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
The details about the gathering are written on the other side of the invitation.
Hopefully you can see how the Gold Foil leaf and gold embossing really set off this card. Each card is a little different due to the coloring and placement of the small leaves.
Click on a picture at the bottom of the post to order from my online store or see what products I used to make the invitation and fudge boxes. I send a free gift to everyone who places an order with me.
Our relatives say Steve’s fudge is awesome, so we give everyone some fudge in a decorated mini pizza box at our Thanksgiving celebration. Please leave me a comment at the top of this post and let me know if you have any Thanksgiving traditions. There’s details about my one on one card swap at the bottom of this post.
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Stamping Mom, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Ryan arrived last night with a couple of Okoboji camp counselor friends. We were so happy to have them here overnight and would have gotten ready for them properly if Ryan would’ve given us more than the five minute notice we received. 🙂
