I love making these easy Diagonal Fold cards. Here’s a video showing how to make the Diagonal Fun Fold cards. The Soft Succulent square with the flowers is 3″ x 3″ and was part of our Stamping Mom’s Joy Team Sampler Swap. This square was made by my dear friend and team mate, Linda Lais. I added the 3-1/4″ Pale Papaya square, and “Thank You So Much” from the new Inspired Thoughts stamp set. The Diagonal card base is embossed using the Dots embossing folder, part of the Checks & Dots duo. I needed a thank you card in a jiffy and this was quick and easy. (Linda’s contribution to the card took a bit longer) 🙂
Here’s the inside of the card. The Pretty Perennials Bundle is part of the Mini Catalog products retiring on Wednesday, June 30. This was the first bundle I chose from the Spring Mini Catalog.
Click here to get to shop from the Last Chance Products in the retiring Mini Catalog.
Here’s the Team Sampler I put together. All the squares were made by team mates except the top middle one was designed by me. It’s great to have extra squares from the swap to make cards.
I made one of my extra squares into a card too. You can see I’ve been on a Checks & Dots roll. What’s cuter than polka dots?
Thank you so very much for voting me into the Top 10 of Kylie’s International Blog Highlights. Below is my card from the June contest.

I’m taking orders this week for both a Paper Share from the Annual Catalog Designer Series Paper Sale, and for demos, Paper, Ribbon and Embellishment shares from the upcoming Mini Catalog. Customers can get the Mini Catalog Shares starting August 3, 2021. Come back on Wednesday for all the details.
What’s your favorite Summer Olympics sport? Mine is Gymnastics!
This card is a tribute to Simone Biles, who is not only the best gymnast in the world, but she is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time)! The first time we saw Simone was as a fifteen year old in a gymnastic meet in Chicago. Steve and I were so impressed with her, but had no idea she would become so dominant in the sport of gymnastics. I was a gymnast growing up and have always loved gymnastics since I watched Nadia earn a perfect 10 in the 1976 Summer Olympics. Shawn Johnson, the 2008 Olympian, is from our town, West Des Moines, IA. We followed Shawn’s career as well. I gained great respect the determination and dedication that it takes to make it to the Olympic level watching Shawn practice at Chow’s. Our kids took recreation gymnastics there, so we got to watch Shawn for many years.
In my card, Simone, the G.O.A.T. is dancing across the balance beam holding one of her many gold medals. 🙂
If you’re interested in watching Simone on TV, she’s on NBC Friday, June 25 at 7pm Central and Sunday, June 27 at 7:30pm. We are cheering for you Simone!!
It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! It’s fun being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0128 is World Music Therapy Day which is March 2nd.
The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d be happy to help you!
From the Inspo List I used stripes, twine, and embossing.
Measurements
Cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Balmy Blue CS scored at 4-1/4″. Cut 3-3/4″ off the upper right hand corner in both directions. See picture below.
Cut and adhere 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White CS inside the card.
Cut 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ DSP and then cut diagonally. Adhere the upper right triangle inside the card leaving a border. Adhere the lower left triangle on the front of the card.
Cut 3/4″ x 4-1/4″ Sahara Sand CS and adhere near the bottom on the front of the card. Cut and layer a 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ DSP on top of the Sahara Sand CS.
Run a scrap of Sahara Sand CS through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle die. Adhere to card front being careful not to put glue in the upper right hand corner so you don’t glue your card shut. 🙂
Run DSP shown in picture through the SCEM with the 5th largest Stitched Rectangle die. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Decorate card as shown in the picture.

It was nice of Stampin’ Up to make the Way to Goat stamp set so I could make this card for Simone. I used the Playful Alphabet for her name. The beam was created with the In Good Taste DSP. There is a list of all the products I used at the bottom of this post. Please leave a comment or email me at Beth@StampingMom.com if you have any questions.

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Beth McCullough from the USA. I hope you enjoy my Let Your Colors Shine project.
My Stamping Mom’s Joy Team does a 3″ x 3″ Sampler Swap at least four times per year. In order for a dozen or more people to independently make a square and have them all coordinate into a beautiful Sampler, color is very important! For this Sampler we chose all the new In- Colors Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya and Evening Evergreen. We also added So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam and Highland Heather, Basic Black and Basic White. I added a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ layer to each square and adhered them to a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Basic White Cardstock. The frame is from Michael’s Craft store. If you have any questions, please leave a comment or contact me at Beth@StampingMom.com
We typically have more than nine participants, so what do we do with the extra squares? Pop it on a card front and you have another card ready to mail just like that! I turned the square I made for the Sampler Swap into the card above. I hope the projects you’ve seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects. You don’t want to miss any!”
