It’s such an honor to be hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers again this month!
Easel cards are fun because they sit up so nicely, that hopefully the recipient will keep and display the card longer. You don’t always need the stamp set to make fun cards. I don’t own the Kindest Gnomes stamp set, but was able to make this card just using the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper (DSP) and fussy cutting out the the different animals and shapes. I’m so glad I get all the DSP in the product shares that I sell with each new catalog, and can make most anything without owning everything. 🙂
The easel rests against the popped up sentiment, bunny and fox. Isn’t this a sweet sentiment for this card? I found it in the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set. You can purchase supplies and see everything I used to make this card at the bottom of this post. The card does fold flat for mailing in our regular Medium size Stampin’ Up envelopes.
Have you ever been to the Iowa State Fair? Among other fun things, a cow is sculpted out of butter every year for the last 100 years. I’m still not super mobile after my ACL surgery, so we waited until the last night of the fair to go see the Anne Wilson concert. Anne is a fairly new Christian artist who had her first single, “My Jesus” hit number one. “Let me tell you about my Jesus” is how I know the song. Anyway, it was fun to have a taste of the fair and get to see Anne’s amazing concert. Some of my favorite fair foods include pork chop on a stick, chocolate shake from the Dairy Barn, and honey lemonade from the Agriculture building. If you ask any Iowan there favorite fair foods, they will have a list ready for you. Do you go to a fair near where you live? I’d love to hear about it.
