For my second card, I changed the sentiment to “Happy Birthday.” This card could be made for so many occasions.

Our family takes an annual ski trip and this year we were in Avon, Colorado skiing at the Beaver Creek Ski Resort. I did not ski this year. Last year I fell and tore my ACL. It’s my first ski incident. I had surgery June 2022 and have not been released from the doctor yet, but plan to ski again in 2024.
Our older boys, Sean and Ryan, love to ski! Sean loves to ski fast. He lived in Seattle for several years and got to spend many weekends skiing.
Here is Sean’s wife, Amy, who has now skied three days each the last two years and has had a lot of success learning how to ski.
Here is Ryan’s wife, Bree, who took lessons to learn how to snowboard this year. None of us have ever snowboarded. Bree is brave!
Four of us did an Escape Room one afternoon. It was a lot of fun!
My favorite part of the week was just being together and playing games and cards. We played “Code Names” almost everyday. The gals had a big lead, but on the last night the guys came from behind to be the champions. Ryan and Bree taught us a new game called “Up and Down the River” which we all enjoyed. The big round table had a lazy susan on top and it was fun way to distribute the cards. I also really enjoy playing Cribbage. I usually win at Cribbage, but both my sweet daughter-in-laws beat me this week. It was wonderful to have this family time with our older sons and their wives. 🙂
