Bee Thankful

I used the Bee Thankful stamp set to make this bright and cheery card for my very dear friend, Jean, who helps me more than you can imagine with my business. She started a few years ago doing some Big Shot work to help get ready for my classes. Then we started consulting together on lots of cards you see here on my blog. She has a passion for fun folds. She used to search the internet for them, now she just creates her own! I could go on and on. Thanks so much for everything you do, Jean, but more importantly thanks for being my friend for life! 🙂

It’s super cold in Iowa this weekend, so I made yummy Roasted Squash and Carrot Soup. It’s my favorite way to eat vegetables and get warm too! 🙂

2020 Calendar

It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! I love being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0050 is Inspire Your Heart With Art (Jan 31). The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. I used rainbow, calendar, inspiration sentiment, stitching, and die cuts off the Inspo List.

Here’s a free PDF showing the supplies and directions to make this calendar. I purchased the frame at IKEA for 99 cents. I purchased 10 calendars for $3 at Taylored Expressions. What a deal!

The calendar is attached to the outside of the plastic in the frame so you can remove each month’s calendar. For more inspiration, be sure to visit the rest of the Festive Friday Design Team .

Here’s a card I made last fall with the Follow Your art Suite. As you can see I love the silver heat embossed scissors colored in with blends. I also love the rainbow paper.

I used the Lily Pad Stamp Set, Lily Pad Dies and the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make this stand up fun fold card.

This DSP is beautiful and has many of my favorite colors including Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Lovely Lipstick, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

This card would look so nice sitting on someone’s desk to brighten their day! The card measures 5″ x 5-1/4″ when closed, so you’ll need a bigger than normal envelope.
