Monogram Note Cards

We are running out of time!  All the retiring stamp sets, punches, embellishments, etc will be gone at midnight on May 31! I was trying to think of what I would really miss, if I hadn’t already bought it.  One thing that came to mind is the Layered Letters Alphabet set.  I love making monogram note cards and this particular set fits perfectly on the new Pretty Label punch.

I’ve been knee deep in Abby’s senior awards night, final Heartland Youth Choir concert, her graduation party at our house, etc.  It wouldn’t have been so much work if we had agreed to have the party with her friends at the church.  Sometimes I like to do things the hard way.  I spent a lot of time on the outside of the house working on the landscaping around the new sunroom, and making sure my flower and vegetable gardens looked good.  Unfortunately, it rained soon after the party began and almost no one saw any of the work I had done in the backyard.  The good news is, I have all summer to enjoy it! I also spent a lot of time on the cake balls- Carrot Cake, German Chocolate, Red Velvet and Funfetti, oreo balls, peanut butter balls, scotcheroos, party mix, fudge, and frosted sugar cookies.  At the end of the party the scotcheroos, peanut butter balls, Carrot Cake balls were all gone.  The punch was also gone.  Easy punch and everyone seemed to love it.  Here’s the recipe for Apple Zip Punch – 1 can frozen concentrated pink lemonade, 1- 2 liter 7 up, 64 oz apple juice.  I also made ice cubes out of the punch so the punch wouldn’t get watered down.

Here’s Abby after she graduated.  She wore a special robe and gold sash because she was one of eight out of 608 graduates to earn an Honors Diploma.  The medals were for National Merit Finalist and 4.0 and above.  The cords were for National Honor Society, Volunteer hours, AP scholar and several other things I can’t remember.  Her brothers conceded that Abby “won” at high school.  Someone wrote on my Facebook page today that the best thing about Abby is her strong faith.  I totally agree.  The awards are temporary and her faith is eternal.  I am very proud that Abby worked hard and did her best!

Now that everything is done, I have several people that helped me or that loaned me things for the party.  I’m going to make a set of the monogram cards for one of my friends that loaned me things I needed for the party.  Tomorrow I’ll show you the set and hopefully a cute box to give them in. Over the next couple weeks I hope to get sets made for everyone, so I can properly thank them.

I am doing “shares” from the new catalog.  You can choose a paper share, ribbon share, embellishment share, or I want it all!  It’s the best way for demos and customers to get a little bit of everything from the new catalog.  When you see that adorable card on Pinterest, you’ll have the DSP or ribbon to make it. I’ll give you all the details soon!

Today is the last day to order the retiring products from my online store  and use the Host Code KCQSVZKT to get your free card kit by mail.  You can also email me at Beth@StampingMom.com
