Abby and Keegan finished their Physics class at the community college last night. Time to get Abby ready for college. I’m thrilled for her and know she’ll do great, but I get teary eyed every time I think about it. Sunday, August 13 is the day Abby moves to college. I told Keegan he has to go with us to be the muscle getting Abby’s things up the stairs and also to drive me home, because I may not be able to see the road through my tears. Superman will be with us that day, but then has business in Davenport so he won’t be able to drive me home himself. (I actually do almost all the driving normally, but I have no doubt driving home that day will be too hard for me.) Keegan’s biggest concern is all the extra time that Steve and I will have to micromanage him, since he’ll be the only kid for the first time ever. He’s been trying to bribe Abby to stay home with him this year and they could go off to college together next year. 🙂

Oh Beth, I cried for a few hours after dropping my daughter off at college last year. You are smart bringing your son with you. I did the same but he looked at my and asked what was wrong…I don’t think guys get it! Good LucK AND Safe Travels! Plan to go back for Parent’s weekend. It helped me immensely to see her so happy and know that it was the right decision. Blessings to you!
