So what do you do when you need a card really fast? Like Superman’s about to walk out the door for five days and I wanted to put something in his suitcase to surprise him? I pulled out last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit and whipped up a Go Cubs Go card! Superman, his Dad and brothers have been die hard Cubs fans all their lives. You know how it goes every Spring, “This might be the year!”
Well Superman and Ryan left on Friday to go to Davenport, and ran the Bix 7 mile race on Saturday morning. I had predicted a win by Superman, but Ryan pulled it out and beat his Dad soundly by about four minutes. Quite an impressive win by Ryan because Steve is not easy to beat. Steve ran his best time ever and was pleased with his results. (I guess sometimes a 20 year old is just faster than a 52 year old!) Steve then spent the weekend with his parents and drove to Chicago on Monday morning. He’s been going to Chicago a lot for work lately and the best part is he somehow manages to get to a Cubs game almost every trip. If the Cubs ever win a World Series again, I will have a very happy husband.
Anyway, back to the card, did you see baseballs when you opened the June Paper Pumpkin? You could make some great baseball coach thank you cards with these too.
I had so much more to tell you, but the garage door just opened and Superman is home! That makes me a very happy wife!
Blessings,
Beth 🙂
We are HUGE Cub fans as well and can’t wait to CASE this card. Love!
