Does my card look familiar?  When I first saw the 2017-18 Annual catalog, my favorite card was made with Beautiful Bouquet on page 93 shown below.

I looked at the sample and made a very similar card.  I changed the colors to match the bride’s colors- Berry Burst, So Saffron, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive. I used copper embossing powder on the sentiment and flower holder.  I also used the Brick Wall embossing folder because I don’t own the Polka Dot Basics yet.  My card is more of a “fall version” of this adorable summer card.

If you ever get stuck, just look at the samples in the catalog and CASE (Copy and Share Everything) away!

I added a strip of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (DSP) so the envelope would be cute too!  I hope the Bride loves the card I made for her.  At the bottom of this post you can find everything I used to make this card and envelope.

Thanks again for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on July 12th. We’re having a pattern party! Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. See you on July 12th for the next Pals Blog Hop!

Blessings,

Lindsay’s Wedding

I was so happy when I saw these photos from Lindsay’s wedding.  First I need to tell you the back story. Lindsay is my friend and my family’s hair stylist.  She is awesome in so many ways!  My hair is wavy in all the wrong directions.  Most everyday was a bad hair day for me until I met Lindsay.  Now I get compliments on my hair and several of my friends have started going to Lindsay too.  So when Lindsay told me about her destination wedding and how she wanted to hand write a note to each of her guests on a handmade card she was hoping I would make…I was all in.  When I saw the photos with the cards and how pretty they looked with the beautiful flowers and I could see her handwriting peeking out…well it just made my heart happy and I was so glad I made her the cards.

I printed the guests names on the computer.  These also served as place cards on the table.

This one says, “Steve,” but it wasn’t my Steve.  We didn’t go to the Florida wedding.

Here’s all the cards I made for Lindsay.  I believe it was around 30.

Deanna is Lindsay’s Mom, so I put her card in front when I delivered the cards.

One of the reasons I’ve been making homemade cards since 2003 is because it makes me happy to make them and it makes my recipient happy when they receive them.   I think homemade cards are one way God shines His light into the world.

Lindsay

Congratulations Lindsay and Matt!  They are a beautiful couple inside and out!

Blessings,

Beth 🙂
