The Pretty Perennials Bundle was the first flower bundle I chose when the Mini Catalog began in January. I’m sad it’s retiring. I needed a bright and happy thank you card to thank a special friend. Do you have someone you need to thank today?

Hey Birthday Chick Fun Fold

It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge! It’s fun being a designer for Festive Friday and this week’s challenge #FF0081 is Earth Day which is on
April 22.

I grew up on 10 acres where we raised steers, rabbits and had a huge garden. I even showed 4-H steers at the fair. Anyway, this isn’t a traditional Earth Day card, but it doesn’t represent where I learned to take good care of the Earth.

The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Incorporate THREE or more of the items in your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item and join us. If you want help entering, please email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and I’d be happy to help you! I used green, blue and wood.

This is a fun fold card that uses a 5mm magnet between the big chicks on the front of the card and another magnet hiding under the little chick inside the card.

If you would like to make this card, I don’t have written directions, but I do have a YouTube video of a FB Live showing exactly how to make this card. My dear friend, Jean, actually did her first ever video showing how to make this card. Please leave a comment and let Jean know what a great job she did. (Maybe she’ll come back and make another video someday soon!)

The theme for this blog hop is Thank You, Encouragement, or Congratulations. I went with encouragement as I made this card for a friend who recently experienced a loss. The Brilliant Wings dies and Stitched Rectangle dies work well together for a clean and simple card (CAS). The So Saffron frame was made using the first and third largest Stitched Rectangle dies. Since I already had the dies out, I cut the DSP with the second largest Stitched Rectangle die. The “Thinking of You” sentiment is from the retiring Field of Flowers stamp set. I used the Brilliant Wings dies to cut the the two smaller butterflies from Butterfly Bijou DSP. It’s OK if you don’t have the DSP, you can create all three butterflies the way I did the large pink butterfly. I used my Blending Brush, Blushing Bride and Magenta Madness ink. The sky is the limit, you can create any color of butterflies using the Blending Brushes. I also added Frosted Epoxy Droplets for the head of the butterflies.
