A lot of times when I make cards I leave off the sentiment. Later when I find a purpose for it, I add just the right sentiment. I made a couple Joy Fold cards using the Love of Leaves Bundle. These could be used for birthday, thank you, thinking of you, etc. In this You Tube Video I show how to make theses Love of Leaves Joy Fold cards. Later I stamped the cute “Thank You” found in the same Love of Leaves stamp set using Pretty Peacock ink and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (SCEM) with one of the Ornate Frames dies. Have you forgotten about those? They were in last years Fall Mini Catalog, but are still current and are great for tags of all sizes. I added the tag with a bit of Linen Thread.

The Brightly Gleaming Paper is a returning favorite from last year. It is gorgeous paper with Copper accents.

After I made the Brightly Gleaming Christmas Tree card above, I wanted to figure out a way to use the more expensive Copper Foil efficiently, so I designed the Ornament “companion card” using the “scraps.”

I cut the Copper Foil at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I used the largest, 2nd largest and 5th largest Stitched Rectangles and cut them all out at once. The center piece and the outer thin frame are used on the ornament card. The smaller wider frame is used on the Christmas tree card. Two beautiful cards with almost no waste. My thrifty grandma would be so proud of me!

Nothing’s Better Than Warm Hugs

The Plaid Tidings DSP isn’t just fall colors. I love the beautiful plaid I used for this bright and happy friendship card. My Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group has been able to meet in person the last couple weeks at the home of one of our members. Rachael loves making everyone lattes and we all like it a latte! Next week, I’m bringing Warm Apple Cake to go with the Lattes.

I used hot drink theme, plaid, and die cut from the Inspo List. Pick 3 off the list, make something and enter our Festive Friday Challenge.
