Easter

March Stampin’ Up! Trip Achiever Blog Hop

Stampin Up Spring Sampler, Stampin' Up 12" x 12", Stampin' Up! Easter decor

I’m thrilled to be hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Trip Achievers again this month!

If you would like to hear about the adventure my husband, Steve, and I are taking in lieu of the 2022 Stampin’ Up Trip that was cancelled, please subscribe to my blog here, or You Tube channel here. We are renting a Winnebago Solis Camper Van and are driving from Iowa through Canada to Alaska. We plan to take videos of our adventures as we horseback ride near the set of Heartland, fish for salmon, take a Whale watching trip, a grizzly bear adventure and more.

This trip is earned by consistently working to grow and share creativity with others. It’s a reward that is earned by just the top demonstrators in the world, fewer than 1% of the total Stampin’ Up! demonstrators globally.

This is our Easter Sampler. My Stamping Mom’s Joy Team does a 3″ x 3″ square swap every couple of months. We pick a theme and colors. For this one, there were 11 of us participating. After we receive the swap squares, we typically add the outer layer to each of the squares on our own to further coordinate the Sampler. Here’s another version below.

The hardest part is deciding which squares to include and which ones to use to make beautiful cards. I had someone in mind for this adorable bunny and sweet little Easter girl, so I made Double Step cards with these.

When you have a 3″ x 3″ square, it’s easy to turn it into a Double Step Card. Here’s measurements and directions to make a St. Patrick’s Day Double Step card I made a couple years ago. Here’s a video showing how to make the St. Patrick’s Day card. I also have a video showing how to make a Double Step Christmas card.

I picked out this square to send to my parents for Easter, so I made another Double Step Card.

Making Samplers together is just one of the perks of being part of my Stamping Mom’s Joy Team. If you live in the USA and want to be part of a great group of kind women who meet online every week, you should email me at Beth@StampingMom.com and consider joining us! It’s way more fun than stamping alone!

The response to the Ukraine Relief Tutorial Bundle has been amazing! Steve and I have decided to match all the donations that will be made from the proceeds of selling this Tutorial Bundle on my site. So far I have sold over 50 Tutorial Bundles, so our match will be over $750. Can you help? Your $15 purchase turns into a $30 donation for Ukraine.

We’ve had a very successful Estate Stamping Sale with the proceeds going to Marcelyn’s family. Marcelyn is my dear friend and Stamping Mom’s Joy Team member who passed away a few weeks ago. This will be set up in my Dining Room until next Sunday, March 27th. If you’re interested and in the Des Moines area, I’ll be open on Thursday 11:15am for an hour and again Saturday, March 26th 9:30-11:30am. Marcelyn made every single card and item on the large table.

I’m going to do a Facebook Live on Saturday, March 26 at noon Central to sell the stamp sets, bundles, punches and dies. This is for US Residents only. Please subscribe to my Stamping Mom FB page to participate.

Please enjoy all the projects as you hop through all the blogs below of fellow Trip Achievers.

Tuesday April 19th is deadline to sign up for our next Stamp Camp that will be on April 29 and 30th. When you sign up, you’ll receive a card kit to make 12 projects with written and video directions.  You’ll also get a weekend of fun and 12 more live videos with 12 different projects for a total of 24 projects all using the Symbols of Fortune Suite. There will be fun folds, boxes, techniques and more.  Everything is recorded so if you can’t make it that weekend, you can watch the videos on a different day. Demos and customers alike love our quarterly Creativity Abounds Stamp Camps. Here’s what some of the participants had to say:

Linda D said, “I thoroughly enjoyed my first Creativity Abounds Stamp Camp! I loved the global perspective of demonstrators around the world, the projects in both the make and takes and those demonstrated in the lives. The schedule of having a live video every 2 hours and the tips every demonstrator shared while stamping. Although the Symbols of Fortune Suite was not on my radar, I will be ordering because the event was so awesome and I am sure the projects will be amazing!

Linda L said, “I love that I can catch the live videos, but also can go back even months later and watch any of them, especially the ones I missed. There is no pressure to be at the computer on time or it’s gone. I really enjoy making all the projects and all the tips from demos from all over the world. It’s fun to grab a friend and do the stamp camp together. If you already own the suite collection, you can order a similar amount and still get the card kit and stamp camp free.”

Here’s how to sign up for the Stamp Camp-If you purchase the Symbols of Fortune Suite Collection from me for $82.75 (on pages 22-24 of the Spring Mini Catalog), you’ll get everything for the Stamp Camp for FREE!  You’ll need the entire Suite Collection to make all the projects.  If you’ve already purchased that collection or would rather have a different bundle, you can spend $82.75 in my online store on anything you want, and still get the Stamp Camp free of charge.  You will need to get the ribbon, Polished Dots, Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper and Symbols of Fortune DSP to make the projects.

Click here to order from my online store using my Host Code ZGZAV2MZ so you can get the Stamp Camp free of charge.

We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The Springtime Joy set has darling Critters! I love to make treat boxes and fun fold cards, so I have one of each for you today.

Ski Adventure 2021

Monday was the first day on the slopes in Park City, Utah, which is only a stones throw away from the Stampin’ Up Headquarters. I’m much relieved that I can still ski and I still love it as much as ever! The preparation I did exercising and losing weight paid off. Ryan (2nd son- age 25) and I skied together most of the time. We are sensible Blue run skiers who enjoy the majesty of God’s creation. Steve (my sweet husband) and Sean (1st son- age 30) are still the best skiers, spending most of their time on Black Diamond runs. I’m not sure they take time to look around because they are trying not to crash most of the time. 🙂

Even though we had so much fun, there were some difficulties, too. In our condo, the boys room was about 80F degrees and our bedroom was about 50F degrees. I had to have one set of thermal underwear to use for skiing and one set to put on along with several layers of clothing when it was time to go to bed. I told you on Monday’s post about the 35 steps to get down into the condo. We could really feel them after a day of skiing. It made for an even better legs workout.

On Tuesday we took a rest day and went shopping at the Outlet Mall. Steve and Ryan both got new ski jackets and ski pants. Ryan didn’t think he needed a new jacket, but his old one had duct tape on the front of it where it was ripped (a dead give away that maybe it’s time for a new one). We also played several games and I beat Ryan at Chess for the first time ever! I did have a little help from Steve. 🙂 Please stop back on Friday to hear the next chapter of our ski adventure.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 14th when our theme is “Great Family Occasions” when our Design Team creates a project for any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.
