Today was college shopping day with Abby.  Somehow God blessed me with a daughter who doesn’t like to shop.  It’s great because she’s not spoiled and doesn’t want a lot of clothes or other “stuff.”  It’s not as great because how can I be expected to purchase clothes, school supplies, sheets, towels and everything else she needs for college in just one day?  Bottom line was Abby was worn out before we got everything done, so now we get to do another college shopping day. 🙂

Abby and Keegan finished their Physics class at the community college last night.  Time to get Abby ready for college.  I’m thrilled for her and know she’ll do great, but I get teary eyed every time I think about it.  Sunday, August 13 is the day Abby moves to college.  I told Keegan he has to go with us to be the muscle getting Abby’s things up the stairs and also to drive me home, because I may not be able to see the road through my tears.  Superman will be with us that day, but then has business in Davenport so he won’t be able to drive me home himself.  (I actually do almost all the driving normally, but I have no doubt driving home that day will be too hard for me.) Keegan’s biggest concern is all the extra time that Steve and I will have to micromanage him, since he’ll be the only kid for the first time ever.  He’s been trying to bribe Abby to stay home with him this year and they could go off to college together next year. 🙂
