Watermelon Wonder Flower

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Up! Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush are my favorite new In Colors.

I used the In Color DSP Stacks for the flower and the insert on the envelope.

The sentiment and flower stem came from Tin of Cards stamp set.  A snippet of 1″ Dotted Lace Trim was stapled on for the leaves.  Can you guess where I got the center of the flower?

I used White Emboss Powder and a stamp from Six-Sided Sampler.  I punched it out with the 7/8″ scallop circle punch.

My Dad just got out of the hospital Sunday, after having open heart double bypass surgery and a heart valve replacement a week ago. Today he went back to the hospital after suffering a minor stroke.  I made this card for my Dad tonight to help cheer him up.  Making cards always cheers me up to!
