Hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Superman and I got up at 5:15am as we always do, but today instead of going to our kickboxing class we went to the Des Moines Triathalon. Steve swam, biked and ran his way to fifth place in his age division! I cheered, carried stuff, took pictures and retrieved Superman’s iPhone. Boy was I exhausted when it was finished. Just kidding! Steve was pretty tired though. If he hadn’t spend 4-1/2 minutes in the first transition he would’ve placed second. (Taking off the wet suit and getting biking gear and bike shoes on.) Today was the end of his second tri season and he’s looking forward to next summer!
Here’s Superman with his “participation” medal. Next year he wants a top 3 finish medal. He’s so close!

I’m so glad there are people like Steve that really enjoy running/biking/swimming & all that jazz. I don’t feel so bad when I see the pictures. Congrats! Steve on a job well done!!

I am impressed with anyone who does the triathlon. My son Chris did it twice. I was his driver, handler, etc.
