Lemon Zest Ensemble

I was asked to be a designer for Craft Project Central again this month.  My project will post on August 7.  I’ll be posting all the Craft Project Central projects just for the month of August.

You may be asking “What is Craft Project Central?”

Whether you’re a new or seasoned Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, or an avid crafter looking for fun crafting ideas, Craft Project Central offers ideas for workshops, classes, clubs and just plain fun crafting! What makes Craft Project Central different? Each month you subscribe to will give you access to great projects with detailed, full-color, step-by-step instructions. Projects are easy to duplicate, are practical, and functional projects that you will have fun making and be able to use yourself or give as gifts!

We also have a fun bonus project each month.  To receive access to the bonus projects subscribe to one of our 3, 6, or 12 month discounted packages!

Today’s Craft Project Central project is designed by Cindy Brumbaugh.

Add some sunshine to someone’s life with a little lemony treat! In this tutorial, you will create your own lemon pattern cardstock to make a bright birthday card, a lemon candy treat in a popcorn box, and a card with a lemon tea bag tucked in a pocket. You will also make a mini treat bag with a sliding insert that reveals a lemon herbal tea bag. You can’t help but smile while making these bright and cheery projects.

If you would like to learn how to make this project, you’ll want to subscribe for the month of August. With your subscription, you’ll get illustrated, step-by-step instructions for five wonderful projects for only $10! You can find out how to gain access to a bonus sixth project over at Craft Project Central.

Abby and Keegan finished their Physics class at the community college last night.  Time to get Abby ready for college.  I’m thrilled for her and know she’ll do great, but I get teary eyed every time I think about it.  Sunday, August 13 is the day Abby moves to college.  I told Keegan he has to go with us to be the muscle getting Abby’s things up the stairs and also to drive me home, because I may not be able to see the road through my tears.  Superman will be with us that day, but then has business in Davenport so he won’t be able to drive me home himself.  (I actually do almost all the driving normally, but I have no doubt driving home that day will be too hard for me.) Keegan’s biggest concern is all the extra time that Steve and I will have to micromanage him, since he’ll be the only kid for the first time ever.  He’s been trying to bribe Abby to stay home with him this year and they could go off to college together next year. 🙂
