Halloween Invite – Clearance Rack Deals!

Here is a picture of the invite for my sweet daughter’s Halloween party.  Her friends loved it, which made me very happy           photo 3 (9)

So, I bet you’re wondering why I would show this Halloween card in February?  Well, guess what?  The stamp set, Fall Fest, is on the clearance rack for $11.19 and the Fun Fall Framelits are also on the clearance rack for $17.49.  You know next October when you really want this set and framelits, it will be on ebay for a bizillion dollars.  The “Spooky Spooky” etc. is from Mingle All the Way.  Yep, it’s on the clearance rack also at $12.59.  This is a great time to get a sweet deal and be set for Halloween. On the inside I used the Holiday Invitation set and the retired bat punch.

Paper Pumpkin is awesome!  We get a new kit in the mail every month, and Abby and I have a great time putting the cards or projects together.

Abby also made cute bat cookies, Reese’s spider treats and more.  I thought you might enjoy seeing them even though they aren’t stamped.

We also made treats for the teachers. The Fry Box gets a lot of use at my house.

Watercolor Thank you stack

This simple thank you card was CASED from Susan Itell’s Simple Stampin Feb. 14 post.  Tonight we were invited to fun pizza gathering.  Thirty minutes before it was time to leave, I had the brilliant idea to make some cards as a hostess gift.  What could I make in 30 minutes?  Then I remembered Susan’s post from yesterday, and knew I had the answer.  The only problem was, I don’t own the set she used to make the flower and leaves.  The great thing is you can CASE a card, and just use what you have.  I love the Stampin’ Up! single stamp Watercolor Thank You.  Every stamper needs this stamp.

I made five of these cards and five lined envelopes.

Here they are packaged up and ready to go!  If you own stamping supplies, take a few minutes and make a thoughtful homemade gift.  I’m sure our hostess tonight really appreciated them.

Sweet 16 Birthday!

Our sweet daughter is 16 today!  I wanted to make her a very special card.  I knew I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Countless Sayings 2 Photopolymer Stamp set.  In fact, I might have bought this set knowing I needed the very cute “Sweet” for her Sweet 16 Birthday card! Do you ever buy a stamp set for a certain word or image you know you need to have?  Hopefully I’m not the only one.

The Happy Birthday inside the card also came from the same set.  I used the Little Letters Thinlits to cut out the “ABBY.”  Blendabilities were used for all the coloring.  You might have noticed I used the medium Coastal Cabana Blendabilites marker, but it matches the Bermuda Bay cardstock.

I hope Abby doesn’t see this card on Facebook before she gets home from school, because I haven’t given it to her yet.  Abby- stay off Facebook at school!  Dad and I love you so much and hope you have a wonderful birthday.  Yes, this does mean it’s time to get your driver’s license!

Abby requested Pulled Pork for her birthday dinner.  My Pulled Pork recipe takes about 48 hours, but is oh so good.  Let me know if you’d like the recipe.  It’s actually very easy, just many hours of soaking in a brine and many hours to bake.  My house smells heavenly today.  When Keegan got up this morning he said, “I hope whatever it is you’re making is for us.”  I guess he’s used to some food being made to go out the door for other people or events.  LOL
